Ana De Almeida Amaral is a senior and student activist at High Tech High Chula Vista. As a 10th grader, she co-founded the first Ethnic Studies course on her campus and continues to teach it as a completely student-run elective. Ana's advocacy is inspired by her belief of using education to promote cultural and racial solidarity to end systemic oppression. Ana believes all students have the right to the empowerment that an Ethnic Studies class provides and advocates for it throughout the HTH organization.
