Advancing Equity: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Standards and Indicators

Rhonda Broussard is Founder and CEO of Beloved Community where she leads the Equity in Schools practice.  Prior to Beloved Community, she led an intentionally diverse school community with language immersion (French, Spanish, Mandarin) and International Baccalaureate pedagogy for all students in a majority-minoritized community. Under Rhonda’s leadership, the first three schools in the network became IB World Authorized Schools, and the network achieved an AYP of 92%, equivalent to Accreditation with Distinction from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.  Rhonda was a National Board Certified Teacher who taught New York City; West Hartford, CT; Los Angeles, CA; and Ferguson, MO and conducted education research in metropolitan France, Cameroun, and Martinique.

Rhonda is a Pahara-Aspen Institute Fellow and an Eisenhower Fellow. She completed her BA in French and Secondary Education at Washington University in St. Louis and her MA in French Studies from New York University’s Institute of French Studies.
